SPANISH FOOTBALL | LIGA | ROUND 9 SUNDAY MATCHES RESULTS

Spanish Football & Liga with Round 9 continued today with the following final results-scores & goalscorers.

Spanish Football 2013

Almeria hosted Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano & lost 0 - 1. The winner came from a magnificent free kick that Galvez executed which was unstoppable. The win gives Rayo much needed oxygen & three super valuable points.

Granada lost to Madrid Club Getafe 0 - 2 & turned the local crowd against Granada Coach Alcaraz screaming that he "leave". Both Getafe goals came from defensive slips, the first an own goal by Granada defender Murillo in the 47th min & the second a Pedro Leon goal in the 55th min. With all the frustration Granada ended up with 10 men.

Spanish Football 2013

Real Betis lost to Elche 1 - 2 & caused the "alarm bells" to sound at Betis. Elche is slowly improving after a terrible season start & managed a good win tonight. The goals for Elche came in the 29th min from Manu de Moral & in the 33rd min from Fidel. The only Betis goal came in the 41st min - looked offside - from Molina.

Real Betis looked uncoordinated & lost on the field which has raised concerns for the team locally.

Spanish Football 2013

Valladolid drew 2 - 2 to Sevilla FC in a remarkable comeback from the home team. The last time Sevilla managed to beat Valladolid away was back in season 1996- 97 & that "curse" remains valid after tonight's result. The goals for Sevilla came in the 2nd min from Bacca & in the 31st min from defender Alberto Moreno.  Valladolid fought back with pride & managed their goals in the 81st min thanks to a Manucho header & in the 84th min from a Ebert free kick that lifted the roof off the stadium.

Happy at Valladolid,  & at Sevilla questioned locally by media & fans, while Coach Emery is also now feeling the heat.

MONDAY NIGHT Round 9 matches:
Real Celta de Vigo - Levante

Athletic Club Bilbao - Villarreal
