SPANISH SOCCER | LIGA | SATURDAY ROUND 32 MATCH RESULTS

Sorry guys, had a personal situation last night that did not allow me to post the Spanish Soccer - Football Round 32 Liga Saturday Night games results. As the saying goes, better late than never.

Here is a very short summary of the main events with the important points being the final scores & the goal scorers.

Granada & Valladolid played a 1 - 1 draw. Goals came from Elbert with a spectacular free-kick in the 59th min that put Valladolid ahead, that was equalized in the 72nd min by El-Arabi.

Real Madrid hosted Real Betis thinking more on Champions League but managed to win 3 - 1. Young Brazilian signing Casemiro debuted for Real Madrid & did his job well. Real Madrid paid a price for the victory with the injury of Marcelo & Modric,  both will be out against Borussia Dortmund in the mid-week Champions League semi-finals.

The game was solved for the locals thanks to the super inform Cristiano Ronaldo who served all the goals that came from Ozil with two ( 45th & 90th min ) & Benzema in the 57th min. Betis got a consolation goal via a penalty in the 73rd min that Molina converted.

FC Barcelona was also thinking in Champions League & rested plenty of its big stars ( Messi, Xavi, Pique, Pedro, Busquets...) to finally defeat a "sticky" Levante 1 - 0. A relatively boring match that was resolved late when Cesc Fabregas scored the winner in the 83rd min. The victory puts closer Barça to the Spanish Liga title. If Barça wins next week & Real Madrid suffers a loss to Atletico de Madrid, Barça will mathematically be
Spanish League Champions.

Valencia CF & Malaga FC had a 5th place ladder battle,  which also tacitly includes chasing Real Sociedad for the Champions League 4th place. The "battle" was won by Valencia which defeated comfortably Malaga 5 - 1 in 10 minutes of devastating Football of which the visitors never recovered.

The goals began raining in the 25th min when Valencia midfielder Parejo scored. Then Roberto Soldado got two ( 28th min & penalty in the 30th min ), followed by a goal from Canales for the fourth in the 31st min. Malaga got their only goal via a Baptista free-kick in the 45th min, but Valencia cancelled that effort with another goal (the fifth) in the 56th min with Benega
