SPANISH SOCCER 2012

SPANISH SOCCER 2012

The new Coach Valverde "effect" ended today for VALENCIA CF when they lost 0 - 1 to Madrid Club RAYO VALLECANO. The goal came in a "stupid" fashion with a defensive mistake from Tino Costa which was called a penalty in the 83rd min. Rayo player CHORI DOMINGUEZ then hammered home the goal, the winner & secured the three points.

SPANISH SOCCER 2012

REAL MADRID drew 2 - 2 with bottom zone placed RCD ESPANYOL & puts the Spanish League title further out of reach & sent the Madrid Club further into turbulent waters. The Real Madrid dressing room was unstable before the game & now will be further destabilized, while Coach Jose Mourinho is running out of ideas & in a mess with the local media following comments & accusations all this week.

Real Madrid played better, having numerous chances,  hitting the cross-bar etc.,  but they could not finish off their multiple opportunities. This cost the locals in the end as Espanyol pulled their counter-attacking cards & they paid off.

The first goal came from Espanyol player SERGIO GARCIA in the 30th min, to see later CRISTIANO RONALDO score & equalize in the 45th min. Real Madrid brought on Angel Di Maria in the second half & that boosted Madrid to the point that Real Madrid went ahead in the 47th min via COENTRAO. From here onward Real Madrid sinned by not finishing the job off & were severely punished when ALBIN equalized for Espanyol in the 89th min.

An easy week ahead at Real Madrid, maximum tension at the Club.

FC BARCELONA

FC BARCELONA
stamped its authority on the Spanish League title with a convincing final 4 - 1 result & win over second placed ATLETICO DE MADRID. The visitors started well & were dominate with Falcao hitting the post in the 10th min & then later FALCAO scoring with a artistic chip over Valdes in the 30th min after a 20 mts run.

Thats were the glory ended for Atletico as Barça found itself & took control of the ball & the game. ADRIANO equalized in the 35th min wth a long range curler that was impossible to stop for the Atletico goalie. Barcelona then continued pressuring & from a corner BUSQUETS got the second in the 44th min. Atletico then lost defender Felipe Luis injured which did not help their cause at all.

The second half was all Barça putting Atletico into its own half & looking more like a "German Blitzkreig" offence as the attacks came in waves. LIONEL MESSI got the third in the 57th min & then again with a fourth in the 87th min.

Top match from Adriano & Andres Iniesta who was an artist. FC Barcelona opens up a gap at the top of the Spanish League table with the rest of the teams following their trail blaze.
