SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA | ROUND 6 SATURDAY GAMES RESULTS

SPANISH FOOTBALL today/tonight with four matches scheduled of Round 6 of LA LIGA. Here are all the final results & all the goalscorers.

Spanish Football 2012
Valencia CF

VALENCIA CF needed a win to regain lost confidence & jump up the table against REAL ZARAGOZA. With Valencia regaining injuried midfielder GAGO, who made a big & excellent difference, they played the more effective Football which gave them a 2 - 0 win & the valuable three points.

The two goals came from firstly FEGHOULI in the 12th ( he was later sent off with a red card ) & VIERA in the 59th min. However, the scoreline fools somewhat as Real Zaragoza deserved more as they created many dangerous opportunities through the 90 minutes & even hit the post.

Spanish Football 2012
Isco

MALAGA FC
are currently going along this season strongly & today the won another deserved game against REAL BETIS 4 - 0. Betis went down to 10 men in the 10th min when they lost their goalie Casto to a red card. The penalty was converted by JOAQUIN for the opener. With 10 men & important players missing due to injuries, it was difficult for Betis to keep up the intensity & the pressure as Malaga dominated the match. The second came in the 28th min via SAVIOLA, a build up play which was off-side but not called. The third came via a own goal from Betis defender AMAYA in the 72nd min & the fourth came via ISCO in the 74th min.

It could have been more for Malaga but they failed to nail all their created opportunities.

Spanish Football 2012
Real Sociedad - At. Bilbao

The big Basque Region "debry" was won by REAL SOCIEDAD 2 - 0 over ATHETIC CLUB BILBAO. Bilbao is a shadow of the team it was last season & the departure of Javi Martinez to Bayern Munich along with the continuing internal problems with Fran Llorente has seriously weakened the squad.

The goals came relatively "late" via GRIEZMANN in the 62nd min & a penalty converted by CARLOS VELA in the 72nd min. The foul that gave the penalty was a hand-ball to Bilbao defender Amorebieta which earned him a red card.

Spanish Liga 2012
Trochowski

SEVILLA FC nearly scalped another prize head at the "Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium" but FC BARCELONA made a worked comeback & won 2 - 3 in the last moment.

Sevilla have really mastered the counter-attack & they are very rugged in the midfield taking the breath out of the opposition teams. Good game & exhibition by both teams with Sevilla having an inspired Jesus Navas & goalie Palop that help put them close to the victory. This & their two goals scored, first by TROCHOWSKI in the 26th min & a marvellous chip by ALVARO NEGREDO in the 48th min.

Barcelona reacted, as they always do & in a big way,  with their own inspired player CESC FABREGAS who put in a  power driver goal in the 53rd min. This same player was involved in the red card given to Sevilla midfielder Medal who left his team down to 10 men & that had an effect on the final outcome. The red card was harsh as Cesc overreacted & this incident forced Sevilla in a defensive mode which gave all the advantage back to Barcelona. Barça took the iniciative & CESC FABREGAS equalized in the 89th min, to later see DAVID VILLA get the saver & winner in the 93rd min.

Sevilla will be disappointed to let this game slip & will be extremely angry with some harsh & controversial referee decisions. Barcelona will be glad to have got out of this "sticky situation" , they are clearly a team that you can never write off until the final whistle. Top match at Sevilla.
