However I am conscious of the fact that the regular readers & the visitors from around the globe are looking to see how the situation is in LA LIGA, especially at this moment as there is a "head-to-head" tussle between CRISTIANO RONALDO & LIONEL MESSI to grab this seasons "Pichichi Award" as Spanish Football Leading Goalscorer for season 2011-2012.
To this effect here & below is the current Top Goalscorer Table as it currently stands after Round 33 & with still 5 more Rounds left to play of the Spanish League season.

Cristiano is currently ahead by just a goal over Messi & the numbers of both are absolutely amazing. I would like to recall that Ronaldo broke the Spanish Goal-scoring record last season with 40 goals & he is about to break that mark again with either he or Messi eligible to win "El Pichichi" & on the path of smashing more records.
Obviously these figures are valid until tomorrow when both are scheduled to play respectively with their teams & in La Liga & are more than likely to score goals. What will be the final tally at the end of the season? Who knows, but it will be incredible.

Lastly, just a quick look at the often neglected 2º Division & how the Goal-scoring numbers stand at this moment. The goal-scoring leader is Almeria player ULLOA with 24 goals & the second placed is JAVI GUERRA with 14 goals, that is 10 less!
