EUROPA LEAGUE | SPANISH FOOTBALL CLUB 2º LEG FINAL RESULTS

Three SPANISH FOOTBALL Clubs had EUROPA LEAGUE duties tonight with their 2º leg return matches. Here is a brief summary, the final results & all the scorers.

SPANISH FOOTBALL
Llorente scores for Bilbao

ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO won MANCHESTER UNITED 2 - 1 ( 5-3 on agg ) to knock out one of the greats of European Football & put in a magical night that will not be forgotten for years at Bilbao. It was the "coming of age" of this new look & very young Bilbao squad that now faces the future "problem" of keeping together their outfit.

Many on show tonight from Bilbao are now the "envy" of the big European Clubs which have pencilled on their agendas the likes of Llorente, De Marcos, Muniain, Herrera, Javi Martinez ..etc.

The match really took off for the locals with the spectacular opener from FERNANDO LLORENTE in the 23rd min. Manchester United showed their "grit" & attempted to bring things back into the fold but were literally overwhelmed. The second half was a Bilbao white-wash with the second coming for Bilbao in the 64th min via DE MARCOS. It could have been many more goals for Bilbao had they not been so inaccurate with their chances.

Manchester pulled in a goal & won back some pride with a magnificent piece of art from WAYNE ROONEY to which the local fans applauded, but the reaction was too late, the damage had already been done.

SPANISH FOOTBALL
Valencia scores against PSV

VALENCIA took their 4 - 2 1º leg result to Holland & managed to draw 1 - 1 against PSV EINDHOVEN in the return second leg game. The Spanish Football Club qualified for the next round but their Football tonight was not brilliant at all. In fact, one can say that it was simply effective with a RAMI 47th min goal ( later sent off with red card in the 89th min) that was enough because the Dutch were most ineffective upfront except for their equalizer via TOIVONAN in the 63rd min.

PSV dominated the game, but their "lack" of Football & play making,  added to a forward line which lacked real creative ideas, basically assisted Valencia in qualifying.

However, said this, good result & news for Spanish Football.

SPANISH FOOTBALL
Atletico de Madrid

ATLETICO DE MADRID travelled to Istanbul (Turkey) & was promised a "HELL" of a night that finished in a 0-3 ( 1 - 6  agg) victory over BESIKTAS.

The first goal came from ADRIAN in the 26th min who put in an outstanding match. The Spanish team relatively dominated & comfortably cancelled out the Turkish attempts until they nailed the coffin for the Turks in the 83rd min with a FALCAO second header goal & a third via SALVIO in the 94th min from a Falcao pass.

Top performance by Atletico.
