SPANISH CUP RESULT | HOSPITALET 0 FC BARCELONA 1 | 1ºst LEG

SPANISH CUP (Copa del Rey) action tonight with the 1ºst leg tie match between HOSPITALET (2ºB Division) & City neighbour FC BARCELONA with a final result of 0 - 1. Quite frankly - my opinion - it was a boring & strange match were Barcelona should have won by a greater margin. The match lacked atmosphere & intensity.

The reasons were various: a solid Hospitalet goalkeeper MORAGON stopping well some clear chances, a sticky & aggressive Hospitalet on show, Barcelona missed many chances, an empty field & lack of atmosphere ( matched beamed live on TV ) & a "relaxed" Barça with Messi - Alves overseas & with some youngsters given a run.

The winner came from ANDRES INIESTA with a power-driver from outside the box that was unstoppable in the 42nd min. It was for me the highlight of the game.

No doubt Barça will wrap up the tie back at "Camp Nou" with the 2º leg.
