SPANISH FOOTBALL - LEAGUE ROUND 3 | SATURDAY NIGHT GAMES RESULTS

SPANISH FOOTBALL was back in action, after the International matches break, celebrating Round 3 of the SPANISH LEAGUE with four games full of goals & controversy. Here is a quick round-up of events, results & scorers.

Real Sociedad

REAL SOCIEDAD came from behind in the 2º half to draw 2 - 2 against FC BARCELONA. This match also had some controversy due to a hand-ball from Barça defender Busquets in the 2º half that should have been a Red Card, but wasn´t, thus Real Sociedad complained that Barça should have gone down to 10 men & ( they claim) may have been able to actually win. But it wasn't the case & Barça got away with a point from a very sticky situation.

Barça started fantastically & was the better team in the 1º st half with goals from XAVI in the 9th min & later CESC FABREGAS in the 11th min. However, things changed in the 2º half & Real Sociedad pulled two goals back via AGIRRETXE in the 57th & GRIEZMANN in the 59th min.

The bad news for Barça - apart from the result - was the injury to ALEXIS SANCHEZ who may be out for the next 6 weeks.

Rossi for Villareal 

Similiar situation with VILLAREAL & SEVILLA FC which saw the latter comeback in the end to draw the match 2 - 2. Sevilla FC got ahead first via inform Spanish International ALVARO NEGREDO, but Villareal equalized with a penalty in the 34th min via ROSSI.

Tough & see-saw match thereafter & Villareal got back ahead in the 62nd min via MARCOS RUBEN. But when Villareal thought they had the 3 points, ALEXIS equalized from a Navas pass in the 86th min.  

Cristiano Ronaldo

REAL MADRID played there match knowing beforehand that Barça had drawn their match & took full advantage with a 4 - 2 win over GETAFE. But it wasn't clear sailing at all, with a stubborn Getafe & a penalty given to Ronaldo in the 2º half that was not & may have influenced the outcome.

Getafe started stronger & Real didn´t get back their composure until KARIM BENZEMA settled nerves & scored in the 14th min. However, Getafe surprised the locals via MIKU who equalized in the 31st min. Real Madrid were never comfortable in their play & while Real Madrid had many chances they didn't convert them,  as Coentrao missed three chances tonight that cannot be explained, along with an overhead kick from Ronaldo that hit the post , & if it had gone in would be now be circulating the planet.

The 2º half was complicating itself as the minutes passed for Real until the 58th min a penalty call on CRISTIANO RONALDO was whistled that was not & the Portuguese converted.  This angered the visitors & unrattled them which allowed spaces to which BENZEMA scored his second in the 71st min from a spectacular 40 mts "grass cutter" pass from Ronaldo. Getafe continued with their style & their merited game & MIKU score his & the teams second in the 78th min. The last goal came via HIGUAIN in the 87th min who had come on & he definitely took his chance. 

Roberto Soldado

FC VALENCIA won ATLETICO DE MADRID 1 - 0 with the goal from ROBERTO SOLDADO in the 52nd min with a header from a Miguel pass. Atletico de Madrid attacked from here until the end but missed their chances. Valencia optimized their moments & were more efficient in their strategy & with their definition.
