SPANISH CUP 2010 - 2011 TUESDAY 2ºLEG MATCH RESULTS | CORDOBA KNOCK OUT RACING - ESPANYOL ELIMINATES VALLADOLID

SPANISH CUP return leg action tonight with two games , with the bulk tomorrow & the remaining on Thursday.

The first leg finished with lower Division Club Cordoba 2 - Racing 0. RACING DE SANTANDER needed to put in a grand match as CORDOBA  had a strong away goal advantage. The home team put its mind to work & managed two goals via BOLADO in the 25th min & KENNEDY in the 72th min that equalized the tie & sent the game into extra-time.

It looked like Racing had turned things around when in the 103nd min BEDIA scored the third for Racing, but then came the controversy. In the last moment the referee called a hand-ball in the penalty area & Corboda player LUQUE scored to take his team through to the next round & eliminate Racing. Dramatic & controversial end: Result 2ºleg 3-2 ( 3-3 agg away goal advantage to Cordoba)

In the other match RCD ESPANYOL hosted VALLADOLID with a 2-0 1ºst leg advantage. The visitors lost Jofre to a red card in the 51st min for aggression & gave the home side the advantage. Espanyol player OSVALDO scored in the 68th min & then BARRAGAN equalized in the 77th min for Valladolid, but it was all too late. Result 2º leg 1-1, with Espanyol through to the next Round with a 3-1 agg score.
