SPANISH FOOTBALL - SOCCER | SPANISH LEAGUE - LIGA - 2010 2011 | ROUND 7 MONDAY NIGHT GAME RESULT

SPANISH FOOTBALL action tonight with the last game of the SPANISH LEAGUE - LIGA - Round 7 being played with HERCULES CF hosting VILLAREAL in what turned out to be a rough & tough affair with three red cards.

Trezeguet scores before being sent off

It was a see -saw match all night with chances at both ends. Hercules started well & managed to score first via VALDEZ in the 26th min from a well placed outside shot. However, Spanish International & Villareal defender CAPDEVILA equalized 2 mins later.

This just increased the pressure from the home side & Hercules got back infront when
TREZEGUET scored in the 40th min. But then things quickly changed as the Frenchmen was sent off 3 mins later for stupidly letting his mouth off at the referee.

Villareal equalize against Hercules

With one man less Hercules lost control to Villareal who attacked in waves until BORJA VALERO equalized with the second gaol for the visitors in the 62nd min. Villareal kept on attacking & Hercules goalie Calatayud saved everything shot at him.

However, "stupidty" again ruled, this time within Villareal,  when Valero was given a red card for a terrible tackle in the 80th min & then Villareal defender Musacchio was sent off for an elbow at a Hercules player. With 9 men on the field the "balance of play" shifted towards Hercules who ran riot the last 10 mins in their attempt to score & take the victory. But, Villareal held out with steal nerves & managed to take a point home in a game that complicated itself for them without apparent reason.  Before ending, a special mention to Hercules Defender Drenthe who put in his "best" game with some good defending & some key passing that served  his team to set-up their goals.

With this drawn result, REAL MADRID are
Spanish League - Liga - classification table leaders after Round 7, while Villareal are second ahead of third placed Barça with these two sharing points.
