INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY 2010 | FINAL RESULT ARGENTINA 4 SPAIN 1

ARGENTINA has defeated the current World Champions SPAIN 4 - 1 in the International Friendly game played in the Argentine Capital Buenos Aires. Firstly, Argentina deserved the win & played an great match to win back some lost pride after a disappointing South African World Cup campaign. The home side went in concentrated & went in to win this game at all cost putting in a glamour starting line-up while Spain & its players were more interested in taking photos & uploading them in their Twitter accounts.

In fact the Spanish National Football Team literally took this game as a friendly as this starting line-up shows:
REINA; ARBELOA, PIQUÉ, MARCHENA, MONREAL; BUSQUETS, XABI ALONSO, CESC; SILVA, INIESTA & VILLA
while the home team took this a full on national pride on the line clash.

Argentina took advantage early of the Spanish relaxation with MESSI doing his magic - in fact he did it all throughtout the match - in the 9th min with a brilliant chip goal over Spanish goalkeeper Reina.

The Argentine pressure & inner desire to win continued with HIGUAIN scoring his teams second goal in the 13th min. Spain them woke up & took control of the game with chances, but then a heavy moral blow occured when Spanish goalkeeper Reina received a back pass from defender Arbeloa & slipped to allow TEVEZ to score Argentina´s third goal in the 34th min. A nightmare for Reina who will need to work hard in coming days to get over this mistake, an error that would later prove that if it did not happen Spain may have been able to have pulled back the scoreline.

I say this because David Villa hit the post twice before being substituted. Plus later in the 2ºhalf Fernando LLorente missed a sitter along with Navas & Spanish midfielder Cazorla hit the bar - again.

Spain pulled out some hurt pride & managed to lift their game in the 2ºhalf creating chances via XAVI - God only knows why he came on late in the 2ºhalf - PEDRO & F
ERNANDO LLORENTE scored a great goal in the 84th min for consoidation proposes. However, Argentina scored their fourth in the 91st min via SERGIO AGUERO from a header to let everyone know that this win was earned & won rightly because Argentina simply played better.

In conlusion, Spain was rightly beaten by a side who wanted to win more than they did & - lets be fair to Spain - because luck was not on their side today. Lastly, lets face it , a loss of this type is good as it puts everyone in the Spanish Team back on Earth & remembers everyone that Football is all about 100% concentration & less about uploading photos in your Twitter accounts.
