SPANISH CUP 2008/2009 - 1º LEG SEMI FINAL THURSDAY GAME RESULT (SEE VIDEO)

The second 1ºleg SPANISH CUP semi final game has just been played
with FC BARCELONA closer to going onto the Final with its 2-0 victory
over
MALLORCA.

Very simple commentary for this clash. Mallorca went in with a defensive
attitude hoping to pounce onto the counter-attack opportunities. Barça
went in with its attacking mode & that out-weighted the former. Young
Bojan
for Barça was active in the first half & Iniesta was doing his thing.
Bojan even passed the ball to THIERRY HENRY who headed Barça´s
first goal
in the 34th min.

The second half was more of the same, this time Messi came on &
revolutionized - as usual - the match. He created 3 clear chances that

were foiled by the Mallorca keeper. Barça kept attacking via Iniesta,
Alves, Hleb & company, & in the the 73rd min MARQUEZ scored a
direct free kick that put Barça into sailing mode.

Mallorca tried & tried valiently, but this Barça has all the answers &

their midfield & forward lines bog down the opposition in their own
defence.

Mallorca still has a very slim chance in the 2ºleg game to be played at
home, but its doubtful they came over come this defeat

Here are the highlights & goals:
